Learning Outcomes
Τhe students will gain familiarity with basic concepts of Biochemistry, will understand the structure of biological macromolecules, such as proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates and lipids, the classification, mode of action and specificity of enzymes, the principles of biological oxidations leading to the production and storage of energy for living organismsare and examples on the specific effect of drugs on biomolecules.All this knowledge will be helpful for the understanding of the specific courses of the curriculum. as well as to their profession.
