Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will have a proven knowledge and understanding of plants that contain terpenoids and related compounds. Familiarity and in depth knowledge of phytochemical groups of alkaloids and their derivatives, as well as of herbal medicines containing them.They will be able to identify the most important of these compounds, their origin, their properties and their action. They will be able to use the knowledge they have acquired and provide consulting information in the context of their practice. They will be able to know which terpenoid-containing medicinal plants have a therapeutic effect and which are toxic, so that they can use them with due care at the pharmacy
