At the end of the course students will be able to: - analyze the positions of the Orthodox Church on ecological issues. - research the content of the liturgical texts on ecology. - raise awareness on ecological issues based on Orthodox Tradition and worship

Course Content (Syllabus)
Worship and Ecology This specific area of study aims to: a) Inform undergraduate students about the ecological and environmental content of the liturgical texts. b) Highlight the Eucharistic dimension of the world and the ecological sensitivities of the Orthodox Church and tradition. c) Study and highlight all the ecological elements that emerge from the Calendar, the Euchologion and the Hymnology of the Church. d) All this ecological richness of Orthodox Worship can assist the undergraduate students in their academic training and their pastoral activity in the Church.

Students are questioned in writting and orally on issues discussed in class. Assessment is based upon whether students state clear answers and develop personal critical attitude towards course thematic.
