-To understand and interpret the characteristic reactions of carbonyl compounds and amines. -To recognize, describe and design the structure of biomolecules such as sugars, amino acids, lipids and DNA bases. -Determine and describe the specific activity and reactions of the biomolecules. - Understand and interpret stereochemistry in biomolecule structures. -To understand and interpret the mechanisms involved in biomolecules. - Understand and interpret the mechanisms of pericyclic reactions. - Combine information on the properties and chemical activity of biomolecules with general stereochemistry.
