The desired learning outcomes are for students to understand the concepts and forms of entrepreneurship and innovation and the connections that exist between them, as well as the development of business planning skills and critical evaluation of business models.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The content of the course includes the presentation of data about the business environment, the analysis of the business planning process and practical training in the preparation of business plans. Regarding the business environment, data on entrepreneurship and innovation are presented, along with an explanation of the role they play in economic development. In relation to business planning, there is an analysis of the process for drafting and of the content of business plans, with special emphasis on the choice of business model and value proposition, the choice of legal form and location, marketing planning and financial elements such as budgets for the start-up cost, operating costs and expected financial results. There is also analysis of business plan evaluation criteria, available funding sources and the role of failure. Finally, in order to develop students’ practical skills, during the laboratory courses students prepare and present their own business plans.
