Learning Outcomes
Cognitive: The aim of the course is that students will be familiar with the basic physiological mechanisms and processes that occur within animals, as well as the interaction of the function of the systems in order to obtain homeostasis. Special emphasis is given to mammalian physiology and address topics in respiration, excretion, digestion, endocrine system and reproduction.
Skills: To provide students with an understanding of the fundamental principles of animal physiology, especially the mammalian physiology; to provide experience in researching, discussing, and answering questions about animal physiology; to provide practical experience in investigating physiological questions, and collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting experimental data; and to provide experience in reading published primary physiology literature and incorporating it into knowledge.
