Upon completion of this course, students should be able: -Delve deeper into issues of the theology of worship -Analyze contemporary liturgical issues, such as the language of worship, the participation of the laity in worship, woman in worship -Explore the cultural background of the Byzantine Calendar of Feasts and Euchologion

Course Content (Syllabus)
This specific course aims to: a) Inform graduate students about the theological dimensions of Christian Worship, as well as the liturgical dimension of theology. b) Deepen the understanding of issues related to Trinitological, Christological, anthropological, soteriological, Theotokological and the cultural character of Christian Worship. c) Inform them of specific liturgical issues which concern the Orthodox Church today, such as the participation of the laity in Divine Worship, the liturgical language, the role of women in liturgical life, the cultural expressions and dimensions of liturgical texts and other issues. d) This inquiry and all the findings of the relevant research can assist the graduate student in their academic progression as well as their pastoral activity in the Church.
