The relatively recent interest in the aspects of the Orthodox Christian tradition regarding the scientific view of the world, as well as the new foundations of the dialogue of theology and science, from philosophical, ethical and historical point of view, are also highlighted. Furthermore, relations of the two "paths of knowledge", their heterogeneity and their convergences are studied, and the "religious" role of modern science and its interactions with theology are examined. The prospects opened up in the field of ethics of technological applications are also explored. Finally, the ways in which various religious traditions approach the scientific development and dynamics of Orthodox Theology's proposals in this dialogue are presented.
