Course Content (Syllabus)
The key components that will be taught are: • Concepts, contemporary events and trends in spatial development • The spatial dimension of development at various scales and types of areas: regional, local, urban, rural, disadvantaged, mountainous and coastal areas. • Regulatory framework for economic programming (Greek and European) • Methodologies: socioeconomic analysis and needs identification / goal setting and strategy / consequence, relevance and coherence / priorities, measures and interventions / assessment of results and impact / implementation mechanisms • Special mechanisms and tools: Public Investment Program, PPP, stade aid, global grants, revolving funds. • Examples of programs
