General Prerequisites
It is highly recommended that students have attended the course "Neuropsychology I: Introduction" and Neuropsychology II: Neuropsychological Assessment before attending this course. International (Erasmus) students are expected to have basic Knowledge of neuropsychology and neuropsychological assessment.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course students 1. will understand the relatioship between cognition and everyday functioning 2. will comprehend the utility of neuropsychological procedures in predicting everyday functioning and their limitations 3. will be able to appreciate the impact of neurological and psychiatric conditions on the ability to complete real-world tasks

Course Content (Syllabus)
Navigating through everyday life is a complex process, which requires effective processing of information and adjustment to the environment. The healthy human brain is efficient enough to cope with most common everyday tasks and demands.This course reviews the relevance of clinical neuropsychology to everyday functioning and our ability to predict performance in the real world from assessments in the laboratory or clinic. More specifically in this course we will (1) explore the rationale, theory, and practical aspects of assessing everyday functioning, (2) assess the ecological validity of neuropsychological procedures and (3) review the impact of neurological and psychiatric conditions on the performance in the real-world (such as work, managing finances, or driving).

Student Assessment
Description
It is highly recommended that students consistently attend the lectures. At the end of the semester students will be evaluated through written exams, that will contribute 90% of the grade on the course. Ten percent of the grade will be calculated through a written assignment during the semenster. The students may be asked to present their assignment in class.
