Learning Outcomes
Learning outcomes and competences: • Adequate knowledge of the main lyrical forms and of mainstream German poets • Familiarization with the problematic of anthology and canon-formation • Comparison of different kinds of anthologies • Practice in bibliographical research, structuring and performance of an oral presentation
Course Content (Syllabus)
Thε course focuses on German poetry from early modernity to the present time. It aims to introduce a broad spectrum of German poets and poetic forms, to compare different concepts of anthologies and to reflect on the process of canon formation.
