Learning Outcomes
After the successful completion of the course, the students will be able to: • understand the physical, chemical, biological and microbiological parameters used in quality control of water and wastewater • become familiar with the laboratory and the analytical techniques used in the control of water and wastewater quality • suggest the appropriate methods for assessing the water and wastewater quality • assess the pollutant loads of domestic sewage • control and evaluate the operation as well as the efficiency of a water or wastewater treatment plant

Course Content (Syllabus)
Physical, chemical and microbiological analyses for the assessment of water and wastewater quality. Use of portable and laboratory analytical equipment. Implementation of the measurements in order to evaluate and asses the efficiency of the water – wastewater treatment processes.
