Students must have successfully completed the compulsory courses designated by the School for choosing the translation direction. Perfect knowledge of French language is required.

Course Content (Syllabus)
This course is addressed to a small audience (10-12 people). It deals with the field of audiovisual tanslation. The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the listening comprehension of French films. They study the differences between this tranlation practice and the written tranlation of texts. Students are initiate to the general rules of subtitling. Furthemore they learn how to use the subtitling programme subtitle workshop.
