Learning Outcomes
They will create routes for Pilgrimage destinations, as they will be utilizing the tourist flows within the framework of the development of Religious Tourism, always in cooperation with the Holy Monasteries and the Holy Dioceses. They will manage and analyze data collected from archival and historical sources concerning the establishment and historical development of the Holy Monasteries, as well as the ecclesiastical personalities connected with the history of each monastery or monastic complex. Based on these data, a relevant corpus will be gradually formed about all the monastic centers of Greece, enriched with relevant photographic material. They will acquire additional and specialized knowledge about the Orthodox spiritual life of the monastic brotherhoods, as well as the influence exercised on the wider region by each of the monasteries. They will come to realize that every monastic complex is harmonized and smoothly integrated into the wider natural environment with increased environmental sensitivity, as they examine the methods and materials used in its construction, and its economic activities
