Course Content (Syllabus)
For centuries, Greek mythology has been a source of inspiration for literature and art, and more recently also for cinema, comics and computer games. Myths are constantly being reworked, "corrected" and varied. How can this enduring attraction be explained? In the seminar, we will familiarize ourselves with different theoretical approaches on mythology and examine ancient myths and their actualizations. Assessment is based on the regular, active participation during the semester, oral presentation and final written examination.
