Course Content (Syllabus)
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic principles of theatrical expression through the puppet, both theoretically and practically. Specific issues studied theoretically and in the laboratory are theatrical dramaturgy, text, stage direction and the aesthetics and perception of puppetry from the audience's side. In the same spirit, emphasis is placed on different types of puppets (in terms of their movement technique), on techniques and types of stage presence, on the construction of classical and contemporary puppet forms, on fiction and the script of puppetry. Alongside the above investigations and practices, the use of theatrical puppets in the educational process is studied on a permanent basis.

Description
- ICT is used for lesson presentations (PPTX) and video analysis, for sound systems aswell. - Intrenet is also used: Platform elearning(document publications, announcments, students document exchanging, quizzes, submission of essays ect.) - In addition, ict is used for more communication with students (co-opperations through zoom, webmail use for answers to questions, instructions for exams and term papers etc.)

Student Assessment
Description
The evaluation in the course will take place throughout the whole semester through scene exercises and the scene projects which will be taking place in every meeting and through presentations of selected themes from the history and the evolution of puppet theatre. At the end of the semester it will be presented a puppetry project by the students in group to a mix audience and it will be delivered a written assignment/memorandum which will have the characteristics of a reflective and self-evaluative essay about the presented puppetry project. The project may be presented to selected educational, social or cultural institutions of the city. Students are also given the opportunity to choose between an oral examination based on theme by the syllabus and the preparation and presentation of a written assignment based on a subject from the suggested literature.
