Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1) perform matrix operations, calculate determinants and derivatives, and solve systems of equations.
2) distinguish the different types of curves in 2 and 3 dimensions.
3) define and explain the concept of vector / vector functions and apply the operations of vectors or vector functions, as well as their derivatives.
4) understand the use and applications of matrices, determinants, systems of equations, scalar and vector functions and derivatives in order to solve problems in geosciences.
