Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
1) Define the basic principles of the science of Ore Deposit Geology.
2) Describe the conditions of ore deposit formation and their relationship to geotectonic environments and geological processes.
3) Identify and distinguish between different types of ore deposits.
4) Correlate various types of data (geological, petrographic, mineralogical, geochemical) for the interpretation of metallogenetic models.
5) Apply basic research methods, such as metallographic microscopy, in ore deposit investigations.
