Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will: understand what electronic publications available online are, become familiar with the available content distribution channels, understand the structure, design and evaluation of a website, become familiar with the ways of publishing and promoting content on the Internet, practise the Content Management Systems and the WordPress platform.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course focuses on the creation of electronic publications, which are available via the Internet. Initially, a theoretical introduction to the topic of electronic publishing and the different channels of distribution of digital content is given. The next section of the course focuses on the design, creation, management and evaluation of websites for the distribution of digital content. Particular emphasis is placed on the usability of websites and the crawlability of their content by search engines. Finally, the WordPress content management system is presented in depth, as well as the tools that extend its capabilities in terms of supporting electronic publishing. Use of digital presentations throughout the lessons and provision of additional learning resources through the elearning.auth.gr platform (moodle). Communication with students via email as well as via the communication tools provided by the elearning.auth.gr platform. Evaluation through multiple choice questions on the elearning.auth.gr platform.
