Sustainability, understood in socio-economic and environmental terms, is the central pursuit of the global community. In fact, five years before the completion of the Sustainable Development Goals 2015-2030 strategy, at the recent Summit on the Future (UN, New York 22-23 September 2024) the process of comprehensive evaluation of the development to date and planning for the next period began. It is evident that in this context, especially given the multidimensional nature of the concept of sustainable development, appropriate service with quantitative data and evaluation methods is of particular importance. The course examines precisely this issue, specifically approaching the following topics: a) Introduction and basic concepts of sustainable development, b) Combined databases and indicator system within the framework of the SDGs 2015-2030 strategy - issues and ways to address them, c) The importance of quantitative analysis in the future and the use of new computational methods and technologies - theory and practice.
