Learning Outcomes
Students will be expected upon the successive completion of the course:
• To know the basic technique in sprints ,jumps and throws ( hurdles, high jump , discus throwing ,stipple, triple jump , javelin throwing)
• To acquire the teaching methods of track and field events through the use of different exercise and way of execution, adapted to the requirements of a school curriculum
• To linktheory with practice through their personal participation in motor learning activities of the basic techniques and exercises for their optimizationthe steps to follow in order to teach others
• To become familiar with the organization and presentation of a physical education course focused on teaching technical and physical skills of track and field sports in order to assimilate basic knowledge in the context of the team-collaborative process
• To practice in the planning and organization of the teaching of the course with the subject of "track and field sports" according to the rules and principles that govern the age and the school.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Course Objective and Description
The aim of the course is to provide students with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the methodical teaching of classical sports events, through the use of different exercises and methods of their execution, adapted to the requirements of a school's timetable • The connection of theory with practice through experiential participation in motor activities for learning basic techniques and exercises for their optimization •. The teaching unit consists of the main sub-units: the introductory sub-unit introduces familiarization with the organization and presentation of a physical education lesson. This is followed by the teaching of the basic technical and physical abilities of classical sports in order to assimilate basic knowledge within the framework of the team-collaborative process. In the final subsection, students are trained in the design and organization of the teaching of the course on the subject of "Track and Field" according to the rules and principles governing the age and the school
Course Objectives
The course aims to:
1. Present the basic technical skills in Track and Field
2. Understand the methodical teaching of the technique of running, jumping and throwing.
3. Develop the playful development of exercises for learning the technical skills of Track and Field.
4. Develop programs for teaching the technical skills of Track and Field at school
Week Content
1st week: Introduction to the technique and methodology of speed runs.
Coordination exercises in a playful and basic form. Understanding the basic characteristics of the technique of Speed runs.
2nd week Technique and methodology of speedways. Reaction time and start exercises. Development of coordination skills

3rd week Development of relay skills. Skills of change techniques. Teamwork.
4th week Long jump technique and methodology. Exercises for the introduction to the long jump. Basic methodology for developing the long jump
5th week Long jump technique and methodology. Exercises for the technique of strides and the Extensor pulse in the long jump. Methodology for developing the technique of strides and the Extensor pulse
6th week Shot put technique and methodology. Exercises for the introduction to throwing. Pre-exercises with another instrument

7th week Methodology for developing the technique of Shot Put . Completion of the O’Brien technique
8th week High jump technique and methodology. Exercises for the introduction to vertical jumps. Basic methodology for the development of the High Jump in childhood.
9th week High jump technique and methodology. Exercises for the Flop technique Technical training of the high jump with 6 steps.
10th week Technique and methodology in the Hurdles course. Exercises for the introduction to Basic Hurdles methodology for the development of Hurdles in childhood
11th week Technique and methodology in javelin throwing Exercises for the introduction to the ball and javelin. Development of javelin throwing skills

12th week Development of endurance paths. Methodology for the development of aerobic endurance in childhood. Development of aerobic endurance in childhood
