2). Organize and produce high quality forest reproductive material, suitable for reforestation, forest restoration, and urban environments.
3). To market and identify reproductive material of forest species.
4). To develop afforestation and reforestation studies, and carry out reforestation projects.

6). To develop reforestation and ecosystem restoration programs, focused on climate change mitigation.

Importance of reforestation in modern forestry. Purpose of reforestation. Basic principles of reforestation. Selection, collection and control of seed material. Selection of stands for seed collection. Methods of collecting, handling and preserving seeds. Selection of suitable tree species for reforestation, ecological selection, selection depending on the purpose. Native and exotic tree species. Methods of preparation of the surfaces under reforestation. Methods of artificial establishment of forests, stand establishment by seeding, stand establishment by planting. Planting distance and seedling distribution. Planting methods and techniques, rules of successful planting. Care measures for transplanted seedlings, irrigation, weed removal, protection. Monitoring reforestation success. Seedling production-Forest nurseries. Selection of nursery establishment location. Forest nursery design. Production of bare root seedlings. Soil preparation, seeding, irrigation system in forest nurseries. Care and protection of seedlings.
