Prerequisites
General Prerequisites
Students must have completed their course obligations from the Department of History and Archaeology and then register for the course. Students in the 7th semester and above are accepted.
Learning Outcomes
1. Understanding the learning process in relation to the subject of History. Cultivation of skills. 2. Understanding the distinction between Academic, Public and School History. What is their position and role in Greece and internationally. 3. Understanding the nature, character and didactic function of historical sources. 4. Being able of an critical and holistic approach to historical sources with the aim of the all-round development of man.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Academic, Public and School History. From the science of History to school History. General and specific objectives of the course. Learning process in relation to the subject of History.Cultivation of skills. Teaching process. Analysis and interpretation of sources with the aim of all-round human development.Teaching and learning strategies using resources. Education and foreign policy: the role of school textbooks.
