Learning Outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide the necessary knowledge on topics related to preclinical and clinical evaluation of pharmaceuticals. Through this course the postgraduate students will learn to design and evaluate preclinical and clinical study protocols and their results.

Course Content (Syllabus)
• Biopharmaceutical. Biopharmaceutical classification system. Determination of biopharmaceutical properties. • Bioavailability and basic pharmacokinetics. • Development of new drugs. Pharmacological evaluation and applications. Drug administration and Pharmacogenomic approach. • Application of population pharmacokinetic models through the Simcyp platform in pharmaceutical research and development of new drugs • Introduction to Biotechnology. • Pharmaceutical Biotechnology: Application of protein transduction technology (PTD Technology) to produce recombinant proteins in the context of the therapeutic approach of monogenic - metabolic diseases. • Bioequivalence studies and IVIVC. • Dissolution test. • Antimicrobial chemotherapy drugs. Determination of sensitivity and resistance of microorganisms to antibiotics. • Pharmacogenomics in the postgenomic era. • Production of biotechnological drugs on an industrial scale.
