Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course students will be able to examine the topological elements of a literary text combining data of several scientific areas (anthropology, architecture, geography, history) so as to form an interdisciplinary mentality
- to be familiar with the basic registers of a literary construction (time, place, persons)
- to assign the topological register to paricular periods or aesthetic schools (e.g. 19th century, literary realism)
- to perceive topological intercultural particularities by combinated readings of texts

Course Content (Syllabus)
Τhe place as literary hero.
History, geography, environment, built ot natural landscape, literature. Based on recent research, a topological discourse has been revaluated. This literary topography, clearly different from a traditional traveler literature is an intersection of several scientific roads (anthropology, urbanism, architecture, sociology, geocritics) and sets apart the «idiotopy» as term indicating not the topical but the topicality. To be examined texts that recollect history, myths, memories around sites/places talking as literary persons.
