Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course students are expected: To know important aspects of digital technology related to language issues. To know the history of the development of language editing software and understand the ways in which ICT developments have influenced the design and production of various types of software. Understand the complex and multifaceted issues of digital humanities as well as how to link linguistic information and data to other types of data such as spatial, geographical, historical and cultural. Understand issues of modern internet technologies and services and how they relate to issues of digital humanities studies. During the course, students, systematically involved in teaching-pedagogical exercises, develop learning strategies utilizing the above knowledge with the goal of applying them to the classroom.

Course Content (Syllabus)
1. General applications of language processing software and languistic data analysis. 2. General applications of multimedia databases for the collection and use of linguistic data and linguistic teaching material. 3. Digitizing, recording, storing and retrieving linguistic data. 4. Databases and modern digital language learning environments. 5. Practical implementation and application using a variety of software. 6. Development methods and management tools. Linguistic elements and modern language editing tools. 7. Electronic texts, corpora and open data sets. 8. Practical training and implementation using a variety of software. 9. The linguistics of body texts and the use of texts in areas of linguistic research. 10. Collection, digitization, processing, analysis and storage of linguistic data for use in digital humanities and language teaching applications. 11. Practical training and implementation using a variety of software. 12. Wiki, MOOC technologies and their uses. 13. Discussion about final assignment.

Student Assessment
Description
The evaluation is done with work during the semester. Students undertake each task individually (usually in developing content using software tools). The evaluation criteria are: technical excellence, scientific / theoretical support, originality and completeness / variety of content. Works submitted to the teacher and if need there be returned to students with suggestions to make corrections or other major or minor improvements. The evaluation is done by the system of continuous monitoring.
