Prerequisites
General Prerequisites
The purpose is for postgraduate students to elaborate and deepen the topics of psychological and behavioral management for prevention and rehabilitation. The modules examine rehabilitation issues in various social fields (e.g. sports, occupation, chronic diseases) and analyze sociocognitive models and theories for behavior change such as the health belief model, the theory of planned behavior, the theory of social learning, the theory of stages of change but also ecological models. Special attention will be paid to the issues of goal setting, adherence to exercise, and the creation and evaluation of rehabilitation programs and the promotion of psychosomatic health. It is expected that students will be able to conduct research on course topics as well as organize applied psychological intervention programs for athletes and people with injuries and chronic conditions.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will: 1. elaborate and deepen the issues of psychological and behavioral management for prevention and rehabilitation. 2. examine rehabilitation issues in various social fields (e.g. sports, profession, chronic diseases). 3. analyze sociocognitive models and theories for behavior change such as the health belief model, the theory of planned behavior, the theory of social learning, the theory of stages of change and ecological models. 4. present the axes for the creation of programs of rehabilitation and promotion of psychophysical health. 5. prepare research on the topics of the course as well as organize applied programs of psychological interventions for athletes and people with injuries and chronic diseases.
