Learning Outcomes
Upon succesful completion of this course, students:
- will be able to apply theories and methods of cognitive psychology in order to understand phenomena of everyday life.
- will be able to analyze critically empirical data that led cognitive psychology to become a discipline with a wide range of applications
- will know how to write/prepare a research proposal.
Course Content (Syllabus)
This course focuses on theories of cognitive psychology and their application to everyday life such as work, leisure, interpersonal relations, consumer behavior, learning a new new language, the learning process, etc. Emphasis is placed on empirical data exploited outside the lab in real life and the transfer of research knowledge into practice is explored. The aim of the module is to provide students with the necessary theoretical knowledge about the role of cognitive functions in everyday life.
