Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. know the basics of satellites and satellite imagery, and basic principles for the acquisition and interpretation of satellite images as well as their optical and digital processing,
2. know the basic principles of GIS and the main applications in geosciences,
3. be familiar with the common geographic data in vector and raster format and perform geographic analyses,
3. use the main GIS software and their tools for geographic analyses.
