Course Content (Syllabus)
The purpose of the course is to develop a comprehensive and well-rounded understanding of all swimming styles, as well as to provide systematic and thorough instruction in the discipline of swimming. Particular emphasis is placed on the didactic approach to teaching swimming, with a focus on the continuous observation, identification, and correction of technical errors, and the improvement of swimming technique. The course is structured around a dual approach: on the one hand, it incorporates the theoretical analysis of the fundamental physical principles that govern swimming, and on the other, it emphasizes the practical application of these principles, while also taking into account the pedagogical dimension of the educational process and the needs of the learners. The didactic structure of the course is organized into three main units: (a) the introductory section, which presents the characteristics of the child and his/her contact with water,; (b) the unit concerning the management of participants during the learning process, aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of instruction; and (c) the practical unit, which involves the application of the entire curriculum through experiential learning and hands-on practice in the aquatic environment.
