Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will: 1) be able to design experiments for population genomics studies 2) identify and categorize genetic polymorphism from a wide range of data 3) process and analyze multi-genome data 4) calculate and interpret population genetics indices 5) apply methods for statistical analyses and visualization 6) identify polymorphisms under selection 7) identify indicators of population demography.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Course contents include: 1) experimental design and experimental approaches in population genomics (e.g. ddRAD, poolseq), 2) data filtering and identification of genetic polymorphisms in various types of data (e.g. ddRAD, transcriptome data), 3) processing and analysis of multiple genomes, 4) calculating and interpreting population genetics indices from thousands of genetic loci, 5) methods for statistical processing and visualization of results, 6) methods for detecting polymorphisms under selection (e.g. GWAS, genome scans), 7) determining historical population demographics.
