Students
- Develop a broader understanding of the concept of interactivity - according to Mikhail Bakhtin - and its field of application.
- Are introduced into the concept of transartiality, that is, the critical vision of the relationship between literature and the different forms of art (painting, sculpture, cinema).
- Integrate literature into a wider cultural context and study the interaction of genres: literary texts relating to both artistic production and time.
- Distinguish the carnival element in literature and follow its historical course.
- Understand carnival events, features, impressions and carnival function in literature and art.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The teaching of transartiality stems from the fact that the different forms of art are not hermetic or characterized by any immaturity. They communicate sometimes underground and at other times by interaction. The course is intended to highlight the developing relationships between literature and artistic forms such as painting, sculpture, film, etc.
In addition, the course examines the concept of carnival in literature, as developed by Mikhail Bakthin, in his classic study of Rabelais, the laughter and and the popular festive culture.
