Learning Outcomes
The objective of the course is to bring students in contact with a number of collective phenomena charactirising minority - majority relations in the contemporary world. Special emphasis is placed on the sociopsychological processes underlying the transmition from the individual to the social level and the results of this transmission to perception, thinking and behaviour. The final aim of this strategy is to drive students to comprehend the multiplicity of social phenomena by developing critical thinking.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Minority formation, dymanics of relations among minorities and majorities in socio-historical conexts(eg Europe) are the issues discussed during the lectures-seminars. Issues discussed: I. Socio-historical context and minority formation II. Minority majority relations in the context of intergroup dynamics III. Sociopsychological approaches to minoriy studies IV. Minority in the odern world: Human rights and violations
