Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course students will: Be able to define research questions, hypotheses and predictions. Be familiar with sampling techniques. Undersand general issues of research design. Know basic methods of research data collection. know basic methods of reseach data analyses.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Aims of the course: The theoretical study and practical approach to basic research methods in the field of social sciences and humanities. More specifically the course tries to address general issues concerning the design of an investigation, research data collection methods and basic processing techniques and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.Practical examples from the wider field of educational research will be used. Contents-Modules: Research designs Planning a research project and formulating research question Qualitative and Quantitative research methods Sampling techniques (random, systematic, cross etc. Αction research and the teacher as researcher.
