Learning Outcomes
Upon succesful completion , students will be able to: 1) apply critically theories of Organizational Psychology in order to understand organizational phenomena and personal, interpersonal and team behaviors in organizations 2) apply advanced research methods in order to study organizational phenomena and behaviors and, 3) design and evaluate organizational interventions aiming at preventing negative consequences for the members of the organization

Course Content (Syllabus)
In the first part of this course, the focus is on the main theoretical and empirical streams in Organizational Psychology with a special emphasis on the following topics: 1) Organizational structure and design; 2) Organizational culture and climate; 3) Organizational change and resistance to change, and 4) job design. In the second part of the course theoretical and empirical issues regarding the design, implementation and evaluation of organizational intervention are discussed. The course aims at covering: 1) theories that explain organizational phenomena as well as the interaction between organizations and the broader environment; 2) theoretical and methodological issues related to the design and evaluation of organizational interventions; and 3) critical examination of interventions in organizations (e.g., health organizations, educational organizations, volunteer organizations).
