Learning Outcomes
In the theoretical part of the course students are expected to develop basic knowledge on:
- Computer software/Hardware, Free software, Networks, World Wide Web.
- Multimedia, Hypertext, Human-computer Interaction, Data Compression and in general ICT in education
Then they will become familiar with:
-VLE (Virtual Learning Environment)
-Teachable Agents (TA) – Agents examples
- E-learning: deliver an engaging synchronous Virtual Classroom presentation
- VR - Virtual Reality in education
-MOOCs - Massive Open Online Courses
2) In the laboratory part of the course students will develop:
- Basic Microsoft office applications
- Creative use of office software with real examples and applications
Course Content (Syllabus)
This is a laboratory and theoretical lesson that is offered both in the winter as well as in the spring semester in order to deliver training in small and more efficient groups. The lesson offers students the ability to become familiar with educational and general purpose software in practice. During the semester students also create educational material using mostly Microsoft office software. The main purpose of the course is to give ideas and directions on how common software can become a teaching tool for any domain of knowledge. Attendance at the laboratory part of the course is compulsory, as well as completing and delivering work done during lectures.
