Course Content (Syllabus)
Franz Kafka is among the most well-known German-speaking writers of the 20th century for the Greek public. It is noteworthy that several of his texts exist in more than one translation, and some, such as 'The Metamorphosis,' are constantly undergoing re-translation. The seminar has a dual purpose: on one hand, it aims to serve as an introduction to the works of the Czech author, and on the other, to focus on the translation peculiarities and difficulties presented by his texts. Therefore, it is a combination of literary criticism and a translation workshop.
