Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of this module, students will be able: • To understand the genetics of mutations. • Define basic concepts that fall under both classical and molecular genetics. • To appreciate the importance of heredity in health and the relationship with the environment. • Utilize modern biocompatibility control tools for biomaterials. • To assess the side effects of drugs and their molecular pathway. • To understand the pathophysiology and genetic-molecular background of various types of cancer in humans. • To define basic concepts of congenital anomalies and to appreciate the proportion of sex, environment and other factors. • Assess the risk of repeated miscarriages and their relationship with the environment.
