Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the students will be able to better understand the drug effects in the organism at the molecular level by focusing on: 1) the analysis of patient response heterogeneity issues seen in drug delivery; 2) correlations and implementation in clinical practice of specific pharmacogenomic biomarkers with pharmacological effects, thus improving the drug prescription outcome; 3) assessing the effects of drug metabolizing enzymes and transporters in the pharmacokinetic processes of drugs administered in the body; and 4) developing skills on Systems Pharmacology and Quantitative Pharmacology to advance their predictive capacity in pharmacotherapy issues related to drugs safety and efficiency/efficacy.
General Competences
  • Apply knowledge in practice
  • Retrieve, analyse and synthesise data and information, with the use of necessary technologies
  • Make decisions
  • Work in teams
  • Work in an interdisciplinary team
  • Generate new research ideas
