Course Content (Syllabus)
The course focuses, through a critical interdisciplinary approach, on the debate around women's issues and interests regarding the History of the feminist movement (the first, second, and third waves of the women's movement) and on gender equality issues.
The aim of the course is to provide, through representative texts focusing on French literature, the opportunity for scientific knowledge in order to consider the problematics of different but also modern feminist trends on equality issues.

3. The first feminist wave
4. The second feminist wave
5. The third feminist wave
6. The fourth feminist wave
7. Simone de Beauvoir at the head of Human Sciences and Feminist Studies
8. The Second Sex and the radical neo-feminism of Simone de Beauvoir
9. Methods of education and equality issues
10. Woman's faces: the characterization of the self in Beauvoirian novels
11. Jocaste the culprit or The Woman Destroyed by Simone de Beauvoir
12. Dialogism and the maternal image in Simone de Beauvoir's Les Belles Images
13. For a critical feminism and the need for a new positive history of femininity
