Learning Outcomes
The preparation of the Diploma Thesis is based on the scientific and systematic approach to the analysis of a subject of scientific interest, according to the existing literature and/or research. The Diploma Thesis has a research, study, development or applied research character and is prepared by each student individually. The student conducts a comprehensive study and in-depth investigation of a specialization topic and is required to produce written research that applies a rigorous, systematic and scientific approach. Finally, the student is invited to present the progress of the study as well as the conclusions drawn with an oral presentation to the three-member examination committee. The subjects of the thesis belong to the spectrum of Pharmaceutical Science and its applications in the Pharmaceutical Industry. After completing the preparation of the thesis, the student is able to 1. Describe and document the basic knowledge related to the topic of the research being prepared 2. Summarize the existing scientific knowledge and expertise on the topic 3. Use critically and synthesis spirit the available bibliography for a specific thematic area 4. To design a research plan and to develop an appropriate methodology for approaching and investigating a topic under study and to organize a plan for its implementation 5. To design, simulate and/or build prototype hardware / software for the chosen solution 6. To draw up a complete scientific/technical essay 7. Communicate clearly and effectively his/her conclusions, as well as the knowledge and reasoning on which they are based, by successfully making a comprehensive presentation via ICT. before the three-member examination committee 8. To combine knowledge and utilize expertise to solve complex problems in applications, or new problems of a wider or interdisciplinary context related to the science of Pharmacy 9. To choose the appropriate techniques/approaches and adapt them to the problem to be solved using original thought 10. To evaluate the approach/solution he proposes, placing it in a context of comparison with counterparts in the Greek and international literature and to comment on its relative advantages and disadvantages, documenting his/her opinions and choices 11. To analyze results and draw conclusions
