<p><span style="color:black;">A Degree of a Law School awarded by a Greek public University or by a recognized foreign Institution of equivalent status is required.</span></p>

<p style="margin-left:36.0pt;">The chief objective of the Program of Postgraduate Studies of the Law School is the provision of the necessary knowledge and the cultivation of the appropriate methods for educating scholars who will be capable to conduct research and to delve into a specialized branch of Legal Science. The Law School also aims to encourage high-level scholars to handle in practice the full range of general and special scientific problems connected with their area of specialization. In order to achieve these objectives, the Law School grants a Postgraduate Diploma of Specialization (LL.M.D.S.) in the broader field of business and economic law, with an emphasis on its European aspects.</p><p style="margin-left:36.0pt;">The LLM Program is intensive and consists of two (2) academic semesters and the summer session. In the first (A) semester, at least five (5) courses are taught, of which one (1) is compulsory and the remaining four (4) are electives. In the second (B) semester a minimum of five (5) courses are taught, of which one (1) is compulsory and the remaining four (4) are electives. Students in each semester (A and B) are required to attend and pass four (4) courses, namely one (1) compulsory and three (3) elective courses in the first (A) semester and, respectively, one (1) compulsory and three (3) elective courses in the second (B) semester. During the summer session, students prepare their MasterThesis.</p><p style="margin-left:36.0pt;">The language for teaching and examining the courses, writing and presenting the thesis is English.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">2 SEMESTERS, 75 ECTS</p><p style="text-align:justify;">A full academic year is equivalent to 60 ECTS units and each semester to 30 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) (1ECTS=25-30 hours). Postgraduate Thesis: 15 ECTS. Compliance with the ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) regulations started in 2007, when the Greek Legislation was harmonized with the relevant European one (Ministerial Decision no Φ5/89656/β3, art. 1-3, Hellenic Government Gazette no 1466/2007/B). Each course is credited with a number of ECTS (>=2) according to the studentworkload (contact horn laboratory work, examination etc) and accumulation of credits (ECTS) is accomplished after successful completion of the course.</p>

<p>Full- or Part -time.</p><p>The annual announcement determines the possibility for part-time study in the Program for employed students, following a proposal on the part of the SC and a decision by the Faculty Assembly. The duration of part-time study is a maximum of twenty-four (24) months. The course is completed in four (4) semesters and then the postgraduate dissertation is delivered until the 30th of September following the end of the fourth semester.</p>
